COMMUNITY SUSTAINING INITIATIVES
Peoples Organic Chocolate from Urban Farming
Urban Farming teamed up with Peoples Organic to create a line of Certified Organic, Vegan, Fair Trade, Kosher dark chocolate bars from which partial proceeds will benefit the work of Urban Farming.
The bars are available in six original flavors: Coconut Sea Salt, Cinnamon Espresso, Goji Lavender, Pistachio Cherry, Blueberry Nibs and Chipotle Ginger.
The bars are available in Peoples Organic, Green and French Meadow Bakery locations as well as additional select locations.
Harvest for the Hungry Support
Peoples Organic provides financial support to Harvest for the Hungry, a program of Minnesota nonprofit, The Food Group. This program focuses on purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables from local Minnesota and Wisconsin farmers. This produce is delivered to The Food Group's over 240 partner food shelves and meal programs at no cost. It is then distributed to low-income Minnesotans who often cannot afford or lack access to fresh fruits and vegetables. Learn more about the program here.
